Lou Anne Alexander Announced as a TRANSACT 2018 Speaker
Leader of Early Warning payments product line including Zelle® to discuss impact of peer-to-peer (P2P) payments
The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA) today announced that Lou Anne Alexander, Group President of Payments at Early Warning Services, will participate in a fireside chat discussing how P2P and mobile applications are changing the payments industry. The fireside chat will take place at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, April 19 during TRANSACT, the world’s largest payments technology trade show, in Las Vegas, Nev.
“According to ETA’s Payment Trends to Watch in 2018, this year will see an increased focus on new payment networks to carry transaction volume,” said Jason Oxman, CEO of ETA. “Networks and services including Zelle are being built around the needs of businesses and consumers for fast settlement, low costs and to increase availability. We look forward to welcoming Lou Anne to the TRANSACT 2018 stage to discuss real time payments and the evolution of Zelle.”
Early Warning’s goal with Zelle is to create an easy, fast and safe way for consumers to move money, providing a ubiquitous and inclusive alternative to cash and checks. Zelle enables payments from one bank account to another, typically within minutes when both consumers are enrolled, using only an e-mail address or a U.S. mobile phone number. For more than 95-million consumers, Zelle is already available from the convenience of their mobile banking app, with no additional downloads required.
TRANSACT, April 17-19, 2018, will bring together all parts of the payments ecosystem – from ISOs/VARs to ISVs and large financial institutions to technology companies, to meet, see what’s new, and learn what it takes to grow. Through extensive networking events, education and a robust exhibit hall filled with more than 200 companies, attendees will learn about groundbreaking technology, security trends and policies affecting the industry.
