Get the Inside Track on Consumer Payments at TRANSACT 15

Once upon a time, the payments industry was easy to understand – plastic credit cards. Today, your mobile phone, watch, TV and even your car can pay for things. Consumers are paying with social media, digital currency, and connected devices. Do you understand today’s payments environment?  You need to connect with, touch, and explore the payments technology that consumers and merchants will be using tomorrow. The only place to see it all is at TRANSACT 15. From Intel’s “Internet of Things” payments technology to Visa’s payments-connected car, today’s payments ecosystem is displayed on the largest show floor in payments industry history at TRANSACT 15.

CONSUMER PAYMENTS TECHNOLOGY HIGHLIGHTS

SAMSUNG PAY KEYNOTE
The mobile phone is the new payments form factor, and global technology companies are racing to deploy payments innovations for merchants and consumers. Samsung – the world’s largest mobile device manufacturer – is the latest on the scene with Samsung Pay set to launch this year on the new Samsung Galaxy S6.

ETA is thrilled to announce that Will Graylin, co-GM of Samsung Pay, CEO of LoopPay will take the TRANSACT 15 keynote stage to address the recent and evolving innovation in mobile payments. Mr. Graylin will address the advancements in tokenization that will change consumer behavior to move from a physical wallet and plastic cards. He will explore how consumers and merchants benefit to ultimately facilitate a new generation of mobile commerce that stimulates a deeper engagement between acquirers, issuers, consumers and merchants.

INTEL’S THE INTERNET OF THINGS
Intel will launch a 2,500 square foot commerce experience on the TRANSACT show floor. The largest exhibit space in TRANSACT history, Intel and its partners will provide insight into the future of transactions and the retail industry. TRANSACT 15’s interactive, inside look at Intel’s solutions keeps retailers competitive, connects payments professionals to new business opportunities, and offers a glimpse into the immense value the Internet of Things promises to consumers.

VISA’S CONNECTED CAR
Visa will demonstrate future concepts for connected car commerce at TRANSACT 15, March 31 – April 2 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. The proof-of-concept, led by Visa, and developed with Pizza Hut and Accenture, combines innovative payment and mobile technologies to test in-car purchase experiences that are designed to be secure, convenient and easy. While the initial focus is on ordering food at a quick service restaurant, the technology can also be applied to other everyday consumer purchases including gasoline, transit and parking and drive-through retail opportunities. The partners expect to test the connected car commerce experience in Northern California, over a three-month period, starting this spring.

WORLD OF BITCOIN
Bitcoin companies, including BitPay and Bitnet, will showcase their latest products and services, which allow consumers to transact securely from their computer, tablet, smart phone or other device, to anyone, anywhere in the world, day or night.
