ETA Announces New Payment Facilitator Committee
Committee will consider public policy and business matters that impact this growing segment of ETA’s membership
ETA announced today the launch of a new Payment Facilitator Committee. The committee will identify current and emerging technology, business, policy and compliance-related issues that shape the continuing growth of this market. The committee is composed of ETA member companies and is chaired by Mike McGirr, senior vice president of compliance and risk for Adyen. Vice-Chair is Kevin M. Harris, chief finance and operations officer at RunSignUp.
“As the sales channel evolves and technology facilitates innovation, the payment facilitator model is emerging as a significant part of the payments ecosystem,” said ETA CEO Jason Oxman. “I’m delighted that this committee will create proactive discussions on pressing issues impacting the industry and the accompanying opportunities for expansion of the payment facilitator market.”
This committee will serve as a resource within ETA as the established, valued experts on payment facilitators, enabling deeper discussions on emerging industry challenges and assessing opportunities. The committee will also serve to consider public policy matters that may affect this constituency.
“It is an honor to be selected as the first chairperson of ETA’s Payment Facilitator Committee,” said Mike McGirr. “This is an unmatched opportunity to encourage relevant discussions with key segments of the payment industry and offer strategic insight into payment facilitators’ impact.”
“I am thrilled that ETA is launching the Payment Facilitator Committee with Mike McGirr as its charter-chairperson,” said Amy Zirkle, ETA vice president of industry affairs. “Mike has demonstrated superior knowledge in the field and is poised to provide thought-leadership for our membership to understand the role and value of payment facilitators as part of the payments ecosystem.”
The newly constituted Payment Facilitator committee will meet in person for the first time at TRANSACT, May 10-12, at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Also at TRANSACT, our annual Payment Facilitator Day. This exclusive, invite-only event is targeted to existing Payment Facilitators. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, mingle and network at the industry’s preeminent payment facilitator event!
