Photo Coverage: ETA FinTech Policy Forum at Google DC

An audience of payments technology industry leaders, researchers, Congressional staff and regulators gathered to discuss topics of great interest and importance to the payments technology ecosystem and beyond yesterday at ETA’s annual FinTech Policy Forum in Washington, DC.  Among the jam-packed agenda included opening remarks from ETA CEO Jason Oxman and ETA Board of Directors member and Bank of America Merchant Services CEO Tim Tynan as well as ten panel discussions and keynote addresses.

The panels covered a wide range of topics touching the financial services and payments technology industries. From comprehensive discussions on the role FinTech must play in expanding financial opportunity and literacy to underserved communities, to discussions on the intersection of blockchain, AI and other leading-edge innovations and policymakers, panelists provided key actionable insights into the future of electronic payments.

Panelists included key Congressional staff, regulators from agencies including the CFPB, Department of Treasury and OCC, foreign diplomats, leading-edge researchers from Universities and think tanks and executives from major international companies like PayPal, JPMorgan Chase and T-Mobile.

FTC Commissioner Terrell McSweeny gave the closing keynote address, focusing on the FTC’s work in the FinTech space.
