TRANSACT Program Feature: The Smart Connected Consumer
In the next two years, a staggering 30 billion devices will be connected to the Internet. Smartphones, smart TVs, tablets, wearables, A.I.-enabled smart speakers, smart refrigerators; in 2018 alone, these devices will initiate $150 billion in transactions, ETA’s Payment Trends to Watch in 2018 report said.
The devices – and the smart, connected consumers that rely on them – represent a tremendous opportunity for merchants and their payments technology service providers. With billions spent and billions more to go, traditional models, products and services must be adapted to enable quick, frictionless and secure digital commerce.
TRANSACT, the world’s largest payments technology event happening April 17-19 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, will feature a wide variety of educational content for payments professionals looking to capitalize on this trend.
Across six educational tracks – 22nd Century Payments and the Connected Consumer, sponsored by Mastercard; Integrated Payments/Software, sponsored by Accenture; Mobile/Digital Payments, sponsored by Transaction Trends; Payment Facilitators, sponsored by Discover Global Network, First Data, NMI, and Vantiv, now Worldpay; Risk, Fraud, and Security Technologies, sponsored by Forter; Politics and Policy, sponsored by Arnall Golden Gregory LLP – TRANSACT attendees will have many opportunities to learn from the best on the future of connected consumers and commerce.
