TRANSACT Connect: Day 1 Recap
Monday, May 11, marked the first day of TRANSACT Connect, ETA’s fully virtual payments technology event.
The day started with a welcome from ETA CEO Jodie Kelley.
“I’ve been overwhelmed to see our industry come together to support each other and our broader communities, bringing that innovation, that dynamism, that entrepreneurial spirit to bear to help us all get through this difficult time and out the other side,” said Kelley. “This virtual show – TRANSACT Connect – is one part of that effort. It is apparent to us that, even though we are physically apart, we all still need to gather, to learn, to brainstorm, and to continue moving forward. And this is the place – the virtual place – where all that will happen.”
Kelley was then joined on the virtual stage by Chris Lee, CEO of BillingTree and President of ETA, to welcome attendees to the association’s first virtual event.
“I am looking forward to hearing from our impressive lineup of speakers that will help us proactively navigate our quickly changing landscape. We hope you will visit exhibitors on the virtual show floor and chat with those manning their booths, make new professional connections and connect with old friends, and use this week to come together as an industry to and reflect on how we will come out on the other side of the pandemic,” Lee told attendees.
The afternoon was the first opportunity for attendees to visit the virtual exhibit hall. The exhibit hall features dozens of the industry’s top leaders, plus AI-powered networking and extensive resources.
