ETA Wraps TRANSACT 17
TRANSACT 17, the largest show in ETA’s 25+ year history, generated business and expanded networks across payments’ vast value channel
Las Vegas, Nevada – The Electronic Transactions Association (ETA), the global trade association representing the payments technology world, today closed TRANSACT 17, the most important annual gathering of payments technology professionals. TRANSACT, at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, was ETA’s largest event to date with 4,000+ industry leaders, joined by journalists, entrepreneurs and venture investors, all gathered to explore the future of payments.
“TRANSACT 17 brought together thousands of payments game-changers from traditional payment leaders and investors to innovators and regulators to explore the next generation of innovative ideas, said Jason Oxman, ETA CEO. “The partnerships formed here and business transacted on the show floor will change the future of payments technology.”
Key conference highlights included:
- The $25,000 E-Pay Innovation Award, sponsored by Vantiv, presented live on the TRANSACT show floor to the winner of the Payments Pitch-off competition. The judging panel, after a lengthy deliberation, awarded the E-Pay Innovation Award to Pin4, an innovative solution that allows any consumer with a mobile phone to instantly receive payments and access cash any time at an ATM conveniently located near them.
- Unlimited industry connectivity with 4000+ payments leaders, 30% of whom were first-time participants. Specialized TRANSACT 17 show floor areas including the Forter Security Tech Zone, the Mobile Payments Zone, the Software Zone, the PayPal Tech Innovation Showcase, and the Discover Payments Next Zone allowed attendees to engage in precision networking.
- Numerous experts and panelists, including outstanding keynote speakers from Mastercard, Google Cloud, Square, First Data, Clover, ShopKeep, Etsy, Walmart, Dunkin Brands, Nordstrom, Amazon, Microsoft and Samsung highlighted the latest trends, developments and innovations in payments technology and the merchant perspective on payments.
- Unmatched educational opportunities such as Payment Facilitator Day, ETA University and four conference tracks featuring speakers from the world’s top payments and technology companies.
Annually, more payments business happens at TRANSACT than at any other industry show. Next year, TRANSACT 18 will be April 17-19 back here at the fabulous Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
