ETA SLF 2018 Agenda to Examine Leading-Edge Trends with Top Payments Leaders

At ETA’s upcoming Strategic Leadership Forum, hundreds of C-level payments executives will converge in Dana Point, California for three days of networking and elevated industry discussion on these critical trends. Opening Keynote – Tuesday, October 2nd, 4:15 pm
The acquisition of WePay by JPMorgan Chase & Co. resonated loudly through the payments industry as legacy players continue to embrace new, emerging forces. WePay’s focus on developing APIs to serve marketplaces, crowdfunding sites and small businesses presents a nimble model to deliver payments-as-a- service. For Vantiv, this all began as Fifth Third Processing and it has been an incredible journey.  As a leader, Charles Drucker has driven transformation in the Vantiv organization and as Executive Chairman and co-CEO for Worldpay will help drive the future of the payments industry.  Drucker will offer his vision of the industry and how he sought to leverage partnership opportunities, recognize critical technological trends and harness implementation, and his strategic vision for the new Worldpay.

The opportunities presented by the Internet of Things (IoT) offers endless possibilities for the payments industry to enable commerce anywhere.  Bringing connected cars to the market that are enabled to support payments provides an opportunity to leverage utility of cards to any device, anywhere at any time.  VISA has recognized the tremendous opportunities and has been working to bring Visa technology to new vehicles, that will integrate with VISA accounts and other advanced auto technologies, including geo-location and 5G cellular connectivity.
