With a new decade underway, the 2020s are sure bring new and exciting products and services to fruition in the marketplace.
At TRANSACT, happening April 27-30, 2020 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, over 3,000 attendees and over 200 exhibitors will come together to explore the new technologies, trends and business opportunities that will drive the ecosystem forward this year and beyond. Now is your opportunity to demonstrate your thought-leadership at the biggest event in payments technology by submitting a proposal to speak on a panel or in a main stage discussion.
The event’s agenda will showcase and highlight the following five trends which will drive forward the industry in 2020, and ETA is currently accepting speaking applications for proposals that explore them creatively and thoughtfully.
Leveraging New Payment Rails and Distribution Channels
In 2018, the value of blockchain spending in the United States was $1.65 billion. By 2025, it’s predicted to be worth $41.1 billion. From blockchain, to real-time payments, to expanding infrastructure and new business models for distribution, the ecosystem’s future will be guided by the development and deployment of advanced technologies.
Expansion and Continued Growth of eCommerce
eCommerce has evolved to encompass many new and exciting ways to power sales of all types of products and services online. From buy-online-pick-up-in-store, to mobile ordering, subscription payments and more, eCommerce is a fast-growing multi-billion-dollar market that is blending with and shaping the entire economy. Its impact on SMBs, large retailers and the payments business will be in focus at TRANSACT.
Mobile and Digital Solutions
Last year at TRANSACT, Google Director of Emerging Platform Spencer Spinnell spoke on the SecureTrust Main Stage about the expanding role of mobile payments on the payments ecosystem. Applying mobile technology to commerce online and in brick-and-mortar settings is a massively growing market. Mobile retail ecommerce is a market predicted to be worth $338.03 billion in the United States by 2020, and one third of consumers say they would like to be able to pay with their smartphones all the time. Even still, concerns persist. Many consumers are worried about security with mobile payments, and challenges remain to implementing mobile solutions. TRANSACT will explore these challenges and opportunities and ETA seeks experts and leaders to discuss their perspectives.
Security as a Strategic Driver
Security is no longer just an obligation; it’s a competitive advantage. Consumers and merchants demand cutting-edge security that gives them peace of mind, and payments technology companies left behind may lose the trust of their customers. With fraudsters becoming more sophisticated by the day, it is imperative for payments technology players to stay steps ahead by aggressively deploying advanced technologies in underwriting, fraud prevention and detection. ETA is seeking speakers with leading-edge technologies and expertise to discuss the next-generation of security in our ecosystem.
The evolution of Payments Sales and Distribution Channels
The traditional business models of the sales channel are evolving in the era of eCommerce, mobile point-of-sale, value-added solutions, vertical software and integrated payments. With payment facilitators, ISVs, VARs and others growing, as well as industry merger and acquisition activity accelerating, the landscape is changing and every payments company needs to stay abreast to stay competitive. ETA seeks leaders to discuss these changes across the TRANSACT agenda.
