Born in New Jersey, Dr. Ross finds enjoyment in golfing, boating and fishing, in addition to leading a healthy lifestyle through exercise. He has two daughters, Erika and Lauren, and is married to Wanda L. Ross.
Dr. Ross finds a rewarding career in ophthalmology as a specialist in refractive surgery, cornea and external disease. He recognizes that "blindness ranks second behind cancer in what patients fear most."
"By preventing and curing visual loss, I find my career extraordinarily rewarding to myself, as well as my patients," Dr. Ross comments. Dr. Ross values the ophthalmology profession because of its ability to "bring compassionate and ethical eye care to those who need it while surgically correcting nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism."
A member of the McLeod Ambulatory Surgery Center since 1984, Dr. Ross feels "it has always been a pleasure and, frankly, a luxury having a dedicated surgery center to bring to our patients. I find the center's distinguishing characteristic is its ability to specialize in one area which in turn allows McLeod Health to provide superior quality when it comes to eye surgery."
