The full range of emergency services at McLeod puts immediate, experienced care where you need it, when you need it most. Patients are within seconds of all cardiology and neurology support services, dedicated medical intensive care, and surgical intensive care. With an excess of 60 beds available, the McLeod Emergency Department treats more than 50,000 critically injured and acutely ill patients from a 12-county service area annually.
TRAUMA CENTER
The McLeod Trauma Care Center is open 24 hours a day with 16 examination rooms staffed by board-certified emergency physicians and surgeons.
URGENT CARE CENTER
For less acutely ill emergency patients, McLeod provides separate examination rooms that offer less waiting time. The Urgent Care Center is staffed by emergency medicine trained, board-certified physicians.
FAST TRACK
Patients with non-critical illnesses can be seen in an area separate from the Trauma Center and Urgent Care Center. It is a 12-bed unit with three triage rooms where patients are assessed and prioritized for treatment.
HEARTREACH
McLeod's HeartReach ambulance is a coronary care unit on wheels. It is staffed by cardiac emergency nurses and paramedics and equipped with sophisticated mobile cardiology equipment.
